Esc button for stopping current action
Sometimes XnView is very slow (selection or creating thumbs of big files, of raws, ...). Please give us an esc button to stop the ongoing calculation of thumbs and so on, so that I can do something else...

Pierre.
Pressing 'Esc' key for stopping an action is one thing, but even more important is that the current action is automatically stopped when starting a different action.thire wrote:Sometimes XnView is very slow (selection or creating thumbs of big files, of raws, ...). Get all---

- Instead to resign the current operation with an "Escape / Abort" button, why not a feature allowing to switch the (slow) current job in the background (in another thread… ) ?…Please give us an esc button to stop the ongoing calculation of thumbs and so on, so that I can do something else…
- Hence, you could continue another job with XnView, while the slow job is done "silently" …

Although I don't have these speed problems on my old PIII 700 ...Clo wrote:- Instead to resign the current operation with an "Escape / Abort" button, why not a feature allowing to switch the (slow) current job in the background (in another thread… ) ?…Please give us an esc button to stop the ongoing calculation of thumbs and so on, so that I can do something else…

... Yeah - that's the way it should be solved - I absolutely agree!

Everyone who believes in telekinesis, raise my hand!
Indeed - Of course - Obviously - Naturally…

- An old good drudgeAlthough I don't have these speed problems on my old PIII 700 …

• Indeed, any TC-User gets this in mind… although I use the "Background" with moderation in TC, just for copy and pack sometimes. I have not big needs…
- Thank you to highlight this logical solution; I wonder that XnView have not any possible "Background" operation till today…
