Mac: "File can't be loaded"

I'm on a mac, and once I saved the pictures I've edited, I cannot open them and it says "File can't be loaded". I've tried everything, and still no luck. Please help.

I'm on a mac, and once I saved the pictures I've edited, I cannot open them and it says "File can't be loaded". I've tried everything, and still no luck. Please help.

I don't use a Mac but it might be helpful for someone who does if you could indicate to which format and with which settings you are saving, and if possible attach an example saved file. The current forum attachment size limit is 2MiB, otherwise upload to a file hosting service and provide a tested download link, you may need to place the file in a ZIP or similar archive in order to attach it.
