What companion file formats does XnView MP understand

In regards to: 'SETTINGS > BROWSER – File List > File List > Companion files'

1. Is there a list companion file formats that XnView-MP understands?
   [hopefully with the full name. Example; I assume '.lmns' is a Luminar 2018 (sidecar data file)]
2. Is '.xmp' the only sidecar file that is CREATED BY XNVIEW-MP?
   [I ask only because, that is the only sidecar file type mentioned in 'SETTINGS > Metadata > IPTC/XMP' ]

what do you means by undestands? If it's loaded, only .xmp
