Hi, I am new to XnView, exploring its features, in particular the Create File Listing. I use Mac's Photos and its Photo library got damaged, but I can still access the image files inside the Package Contents.
I would like to create a list of all image files in my current damaged photo library, and another with the latest backup file of the photo library that I have, in order to then be able to import both csv files in a spreadsheet to compare both lists and try to identify the images that are not included in the backup.
When I run the the Create File Listing I get an empty file with just the fields I chose to export.
Am I doing something wrong? Am I using this feature correctly?
Many thanks.

Re: Create>File Listing returns an empty list
I have only used this option once before, but in a quick and rather simpler test in Linux I am getting what look like plausible results with these settings:mcasiraghi wrote: ↑Sat Oct 15, 2022 6:29 pm I would like to create a list of all image files in my current damaged photo library, and another with the latest backup file of the photo library that I have, in order to then be able to import both csv files in a spreadsheet to compare both lists and try to identify the images that are not included in the backup.

The CSV separator (if the output is indeed CSV) was a new line, and the output is identical I think to that using the text output option:
Looks as if the output formatting could do with some refinement...
Maybe someone more familiar with the option can add something?

Thanks for your reply...I found the problem, I'm a bit embarrased to admit: I had not selected the files in the Thumbnails panel...
