the moving files window pulldown menu

Post by loth »

hello all,

in browser mode
pressing ALT+M to move or ALT+C to copy a file
the list of recent folders has 8 entries, but
using the cursor-keys to move between the entries
does not work correctly.

scrolling with the cursor-keys will result in showing only the two last entries
on my machine of course ;-)

so can anybody reproduce it?

also, i'd like to ask, how many entries the list is capable?

it would be a fine option if the pulldown-menu would remember about 50 entries, or even (configurable?) more, if possible.

folderlist doesnt update

Post by loth »

another appropriate issue:

if i choose an item of the last-folders-list, i would suppose, the folder-list would update to that new location.

(dunno, if this is a feature request, or a bug)

I confirm:
You cannot browse with cursor keys in the list of recent folders, and are limited to swapping the first two.

About the 'recent lists': it would be nice to be able to select the max # of items (+unlimited) AND to delete the entries you want by pressing 'Delete' while hovering the entry in the list with the mouse.

And the request from me, too. :-)

Please, could you add at least more than 10+- items as it counts now?

I often have to move hundreds of files to several directories.
It's kinda annoying that the list ist too short ;-/ and i cannot switch between my last 30+- directories.

no :-) that was only an example. if you don't want to cache bilions of "old" directories, let the user choose.

in the options:
remember the last <NNN> directories.
