1.3.1 Linux: "Mouse wheel + Ctrl" has same behaviour as without "Ctrl"

Post by HarryH »

Since Version 1.3.1 on Linux, "Mouse wheel + Ctrl" has the same behaviour as without "Ctrl".

So either setting "Mouse wheel" will overwrite the setting "Mouse wheel + Ctrl" internally or the CTRL key is ignored completly. That means the setting for "Mouse wheel + Ctrl" has no effect. Only setting "Mouse wheel" is used.

Before this version all works well.

I work on ArchLinux. And there were no problems until version 1.3.0. But since version 1.3.1 it isn't working as expected. It seems the CTRL key has no effect.

I figured out right now, that the problem appears for all Mouse+CTRL combinations, which I can configure on Settings/Interface/Mouse. Obviously the CTRL key is everywhere ignored.

I have this problem only on XnView. In all other programs CTRL + Mouse combinations are working correctly.

I tried now a different package on ArchLinux. There are two: "xnviewmp" and "xnviewmp-system-libs". The package "xnviewmp" is what I currently used and where I have these Mouse problems.

But with the package "xnviewmp-system-libs" it is working correctly on Version 1.3.1. This package is using system libraries.

So it seems the problem is somewhere in packaging and not directly in XnView.

Yes, both ArchLinux packages are based on same package from your website => https://download.xnview.com/XnViewMP-linux-x64.tgz

For details, please see here how the ArchLinux packages are built:

In Version 1.4.0 problem is gone. For both packages built from your website for ArchLinux.
