cannot rename folders

i am using windows 10 pro, XnView MP Windows Version 1.3.1 64bits (Oct 11 2022)
since "a while" i cannot rename folders while using xnview, have to open windows explorer to do it
nothing changes in my computer for the past year, so no idea what could be causing this


also would like to ask if it is possible to rename multiple folers at once using xnview?

If you have been using XnViewMP's categories and catalog, it is best to rename the folders from within XnViewMP to keep the catalog OK...

I don't think it is possible to rename several folders at once in XnViewMP...
Renaming multiple folders is always hazardous, regardless of the tool used
