Batch convert cannot use CPU cores?

In XnView MP Windows Version 1.3.1, why I cannot use multiple CPU cores for batch convert from png to jpg?

(in all versions), you can't use overwrite option 'ask' with multi-core

On option frame, "If an output files already exists" select other than "ask". Thanks
