simple scripting

Hi, I want to do some very simple scripting. Is there any way to have a visual basic/javascript/python/whatever script learn which files are selected in XnView? Then I can use that information and automate much of my workflow. XnView seems nicer than the other image browsers I've tried, but I'd really appreciate scripting it.

Script to make which function?
