Create date/time vs modified date/time

It seems that these information has been switched.
So:
modified date is created date, and created date is modified date.
(accessed date seems to be alright)

"Create date" is almost always "the date when the file was copied here"
And "modified date" is "the date when the file was edited in a graphic editor"

So, a file recently copied has a create date more recent than it's modified date (which is often the date when the file was built"

Edit : I'm talking about file attributes, not exif dates, nor other iptc xmp dates.

So, what is the problem ?

I think your file was copied in this place (= création date 11:37) 6 minutes after being handled ("modified") by WhatsApp at 11:31.

The words are poorly chosen by Windows, I admit. And XnViewMp does not change the words.

The real creation date is in the file name ( ... and in exif fields but WhatsApp delete them). So some users are copying filename into exif:date taken to keep a real creation date saved.
