copying my XnView 1.80.3 setup in 1.82 alpha I lost the "labels"; I use this setup in 1.80.3 (picture), in 1.82 alpha I see only the filename

sorry! I misenderstood your reply...

anyway...

at the beginning I think the labels are not correctly imported from old xnview.ini file, now after some deep tests (also with a "fresh" installation without xnview.ini) I cannot see any labels; I see only the filename like in the picture below

In the .ini sent, you have only one label (file size), so it's normal

And now you have types of views, "Thumbnails" and "Thumbnails & Labels". (Menu item "View > View as > ...")
