XNView loves to not come up (UI)

@Stock: a different issue from the one I reported then, I am in Linux (XnView Classic not available). I haven't tested in Windows.

I can confirm this bug.
Lately, I've been experimenting with the new .avif format.
So I'm creating a lot of different quality .avif files with XnConvert and open them with a double-click from the file explorer to view them in XnView MP.

Same with 1.3.1?

With the 1.4.0 version the problem exist even after a reboot, I have to try with the new version.

I'm interested in testing as well. It's a really annoying issue. Happens like every 2nd try. Typical situation: 1. Click XNview shortcut or jpg 2. Nothing happens 3. Kill in Task Manager 4. Retry 5. Usually starts then.

I cannot reliably trigger the bug.
This morning was weird. No matter how often I tried to launch Xnview MP from the shortcut, it would not start.
This evening it launches on first try :/

This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.4.2. Please check and confirm the bug fix here.

Haven't encountered the zombie process anymore.
