Not entirely. While it's capable of converting to lots of formats, it only shows up as a right-click extension on a few of the more common ones, which prevents it from converting from many others. I just tried to convert a TGA (targa) file, and got nothing. Any way to add missing formats to the menu? I just upgraded to the latest version (4.1.5) hoping it would fix this, but it didn't, so any suggestions would be appreciated.

On x32 Win XP no problems on the first sight, preview and all works, but if click "Options..." - there is just appear completely invisible window, blocking Explorer and everything! Thanks God it can be closed by ESC.
No such bug in the previous 4.1.5

Exact same problem here (Windows 10 22H2, 32bit XYplorer file manager). Version 4.1.6 64bit version seems to work on 64bit Directory Opus, but 32bit version appears to lock up on "Options..."

I see XnView Shell Extension can show thumbnail of a JPEG file within zipped archive without compression.
But, it cannot show thumbnail of a PNG file within such archive, even if ShellExt supports all file formats as XnView.
Could you tell me why? I am using latest 4.1.6.

Here is my setting.

Convert CR2 to JPG does not respect the dimensions.

Hi, I try to convert a .CR2 file to JPG, it converts to JPG, but it does not respect the dimensions of the original photo.

The dimensions of the .CR2 file are: 5496x3670, and the JPG file has lower dimensions: 2748x1835.

Why it does not respect the same dimensions when it makes the conversion, is it necessary to configure something?

I attach an image if you want to check it.

I leave a link, because it does not allow me to attach the file with CR2 extension

I couldn't find which extensions shellex opens.
And it does not opens all the "supported extensions"

Which extensions shellex opens?

For others, I intend to create shell extentions via
... WriteRegStr HKCR "SystemFileAssociations\.mp4\Shell\XnView\Command" "" '"$ExeDir\XnView.exe" "%1"' ...etc etc.

And I noticed that SendTo does NOT work with most extensions, Including the basic TXT.
However, once XnView was manually opened, they are opened normally, so as mp4 and mkv files.

There is a complicated problem and distanced behavior between browsing inside XnView and opening "with" XnView (%1).

Masters, how you deal with it?

Suggestion: invert

Add "invert" command to XnShell context menu folder
