My browser window is set to Full-screen and is meant to stay that way. The full-screen viewer on the other hand shows the image fit to the whole screen (be it either by width or height).
Now when switching to normal viewer for editing the image the viewer window should shrink again to the boundaries of the image enlarged to full-screen (be it either by width or height). But this is not the case. Currently the image will appear enlarged in the center of the screen (as it should), yet "embedded" in a white background (or call it "canvas") that will still fill the full screen.
That way - for instance - it will become impossible to display 2 or 3 portrait-format-images beneath each other within the full-desktop-screen, each embedded in its own XnView-viewer-window.
The "classic"-version can do all that. So please fix accordingly.

What do you have in "settings>View - Auto image size" & "settings>Fullscreen - Auto image size"?

"settings>View - Auto image size": I have "Fit window to image" with the intention of avoiding any "canvas around the maximized image - but it won't work. I still get the viewer full-screen with white space around the centered, maximized image (if narrower than the screen).
"settings>Fullscreen - Auto image size": I have "Fit image to window" with the intention of actually fitting/maximizing the image without any borders to the full-desktop-screen. In XnView-classic there always was an additional option for both viewing types "Fit image to desktop, all" which I've been using/applying for both viewing-types (by setting "Fullscreen" to "Like view-mode") - but unfortunately this option is no longer available in MP.

What exactly then is the meaning of "experimental"? That for now this setting - as offered in the prperties-dialog - doesn't do anything? IMHO - and sorry to say - this is an obvious bug.
