Quit XnView often grayed out

I use XnView on an M1 Mac Mini 16gb (currently Monterey 12.6.3) and ever since installing it for the first time about 9 months ago the Quit XnView option in the XnView menu is usually grayed out. I would say about 75% of the times I run XnView it will be grayed out. I must use Cmd-Q to quit. I have updated XnView each time there is a new version.

yes a known issue, it's difficult to reproduce
