Panning seems way too laggy

Post by WhiteGuy »

When i pan when zoomed in, the program becomes ridiculously slow and laggy.

It's sorta like the hand is lagging behind the image while panning.

Anyone has the same issue?

Zoom in on a large image and pan. Only happens on my 3840×1200 monitor.

I can confirm the same behaviour, XnView is extremely laggy, when panning zoomed large image (actually not that large, 10MPx).

I can also confirm, that it happens only on large 4K monitor, connected to my Mac M1 laptop.

It does NOT happen on built-in retina display.

There is really nothing to screenshot, just open a 2MB jpeg file, zoom in 3 or 4 times and then panning becomes extremely slow, both keyboard panning and by mouse in the small image.

Other than this the software is just amazing.

Okay, I just verified, that the image doesn't even have to be large, it just has to be zoomed to 400% and more... (start being laggy but still usable around 250% zoom).

(but it is around since I have been using XnView - for about a year ago, when I transitioned to MacOS)
