Delete individual image not updating in browser view
XnviewMP 1.4.3.
Browser view displayed, double-click an image to view it individually, then use <delete> key to delete that image. When I return to the browser view tab the browser view is not updated and the image I deleted is still on display in the browser view.
Further, I can use <delete> key on the browser view image and I get the prompt to confirm, and then the image is removed from the browser view without any error message about the delete of a non-existing file. (I have confirmed the image was successfully deleted to recycle bin from the single image.)
I haven't deleted images in this particular way for awhile, so my memory may not serve, but I'm pretty sure the browser view used to be updated automatically...? I'd swear I did not have to delete the image again in order to remove it from the browser view...

Re: Delete individual image not updating in browser view
Oh great...! Well at least that confirms I remember correctly.
Windows 11 Pro x64 fully patched. I'm using the 'portable' version of XnViewMP - zip archive extracted into a directory.

Re: Delete individual image not updating in browser view
you go back to browser with ESC key or closing the tab?
Pierre.
Re: Delete individual image not updating in browser view
Neither, just click on the browser tab to switch to it. Sometimes I close the single image tab(s) first.

Darn. Must be something on this windows installation then. Thanks.
Re: Delete individual image not updating in browser view
I didn't see how to get it attached here, so I sent to you via PM. Thank you for your help.

Here is the steps:
- open XnView in browser mode
- click on a image file and open it in tab
- next file
- delete file
- click on browser tab, and image file is no more here...

Re: Delete individual image not updating in browser view
Thank you, yes that is what I am doing.
Does XnViewMP rely on any components within windows? Perhaps some dependency on my system is not behaving as expected?

No, i've tried on a VM and my computer. Perhaps the speed/format of disk?appyface wrote: Mon Mar 27, 2023 2:53 pm Does XnViewMP rely on any components within windows? Perhaps some dependency on my system is not behaving as expected?

Re: Delete individual image not updating in browser view
Machine is 12th gen I7 with 2T SSD and 32G ram so I think all should be good on the speed front...
I actually am thinking of wiping/redoing this win11 pro installation. I've already done a refresh and that helped solve some things, but maybe a full reinstall and set everything up from scratch instead of saving my settings might be in order. My feeling is win11 is pretty buggy.
