.dds settings are not available

Hi. I am currently doing my first ever project and in need to convert a lot of .dds files and I found XnView And XnConvert. The speed is incredible because doing color replacement for 9000 file in minutes is amazing. But I have a problem because .dds setting are grayed out in both programs.

The settings I need to apply are:

1. BC1 (Linear, DXT1) format
2. Generate Mip Maps

I know this because any other format are braking reflection on GMM files in game environment. The settings are copied from paint.net which one successfully did the task but impossible to work with batch files.

Please provide instruction how can I apply the setting in these program's or name any other program that can help.

Hello again. I will just add some additional info... As a complete noob in such a thing that was described, can I at least have answer if this program has functionality that i needed? Because i don't feel like this should be basic knowledge. Does the program require some additional plugin maybe or i need to use terminal in order to do my task?

I need to save them as .dds with applied settings such as:
1. BC1 (Linear, DXT1) format
2. Generate Mip Maps

The files are already was having these properties before editing, but choosing "Format | Same as original" or "Format |
DDS - Direct Draw Surface" actually do the job, but saving them with other DXT settings i believe.
