Thanks for XnviewMP, I use 1.4.2 with Manjaro Linux.
I have a privacy problem that the tool records every folder I open. I can see this after closing in the xnview.ini file.
....
[Start]
History= folder1, folder2, ...
....
I did disable nearly everything and start the tool without any folder, but it still records it. Any idea?

I just found this option you might try:
Tools > Settings... > Interface -- Interface tab -- 'Purge recent files and folders' on exit
I was actually looking for another option related to restoring tabs when reopening XnView MP which I didn't find, but the above option looks worth a try provided it doesn't delete anything...

Thanks a lot, I overlooked this.
My wish would be to have a private mode, like Firefox-Browser, where Xnview does not track anything. It should be activated with a single button.
A second wish would be to have text and thought bubbles, similar to Compupic.
