An XnView user has contacted me and asked why all the EXIF attributes listed in the Property dialog ("EXIF" tab) were all in English language, even if the on-screen language is German.
I think this is a bug, since XnView has all the translated terms and should be able to use the appropriate translations.
EXIF attributes always in English?
Moderators: helmut, XnTriq, xnview

Yes, currently the EXIF fields are not translated, too many. So i'll try to make the idea of Clo in 1.82helmut wrote:An XnView user has contacted me and asked why all the EXIF attributes listed in the Property dialog ("EXIF" tab) were all in English language, even if the on-screen language is German.

• This should be great, thank you to try…
- It could launch the “Text_files_Machine”

Re: EXIF attributes always in English?
Having text based translations will be a very good improvement. Not so much visible for the end-users, but for all the translators. It will make their job much easier and it can be done much more professional. Various translations can be tried out easily and quickly.xnview wrote:Yes, currently the EXIF fields are not translated, too many. A detail… plus…

1.
• BTW, I think that such a file might have the *.LNG extension, which is the most commonly used for this…
- Something like :
Exif_eng.lng
Exif_ger.lng
Exif_fr.lng … etc
to be placed in the <Language> sub-folder… The English file is absolutely needed as the translation-template, of course !
2.
- Another tiny wish (again) : maybe at one go could you change this damn <bookmark.ini> file as a real menu ? With the common extension *.MNU ?
And create one per installed version in each programme-dir, because like it's located currently, one gets the same Favourite Folders of the browser for ALL versions. In example : the normal version and the Alpha in the same drive have the same bookmarks…
