Working on specific Folder archive - backup for re install

Hi All,

I am beginner in XnView MP. I am now adding categories to my pictures archive. Also adding-saving sidecar as .xmp on the same folder with the pictures. (1st question deleted as I found the answer:)

2- Is it possible to make XnView MP work only specified picture archive folder. The reason is I am worried about XnView MP will be working slow in the future by scanning all of the pictures in my computer, so wanted to make it work faster limiting with only one folder.

you don't want that files outside archive folder will be scanned?

Hi Pierre,

Yes, That's correct I don't want that files outside archive folder will be scanned, I am hoping to work faster with this. (at the moment it is already fast but just in case)

Currently there is no way, you can only add folders to not include in the catalog
