1-5-0-Beta1 ???

I just now downloaded the Zip-file XnViewMP 1-5-0 Beta 1 windows64.

Once un-zipped, I have a bunch of individual files and no installer.

I am a bit slow ----- ; what do I do with all these files to get the new version installed ?

The "beta" versions are portable version and doesn't install and launches with the xnviewmp.exe file

I think that ZIP versions cannot be installed but can be run by double-clicking on the xnview.exe (?) file in the extracted folder...

Does this not interfere with the currently INSTALLED version ? I can do this while leaving my current version intact ?

Yes it's the point of portable versions

You can use multiple copies or versions, set for example to different languages...

But be aware that for fully independent operation, the individual .ini locations will have to be changed from the default User (System) [.../roaming/...] location to the separate ZIP program folders, similarly as necessary for other settings. Those paths are set in Tools > Settings... > Integration.
