I'm talking about XNConverter.
I had 18 TIFF files I wanted to convert to JPG. I wanted the output to the same folder with the same filename.
This was a bad idea!
The app saved the files with the same filetype ... tiff ... and therefore overwrote the original!
The filesizes were much smaller, and the compression was JPG, but why does it not change the file ending to jpg?
I'm happy I have some backup
These are fundamental functions ...
filetype not changed during conversion ?!

Do you have changed the output format? Do you have enabled 'Preserve extension'?
