Add animated AVIF support
The newest version of XnView MP updated libavif to version 0.9.2, so I don't see why it shouldn't be able to decode animated AVIFs.
Re: Add animated AVIF support
Any plans on adding this feature soon? The latest Firefox beta just added animated AVIF support, so I'm hoping this feature comes to XnView MP some time in the future.

Re: Add animated AVIF support
Yes please, im waiting for this for years too.
I have to use a different software just to watch animated avif.
You have implemented support for animated jpeg-xl in 1.50.
Is animated avif next?

+1
There isn't much software that support animated AVIF / AVIFS, but given that most browsers by now do, it would be nice to have XnView MP as an additional tool to be able to work with them.

Re: Add animated AVIF support
For anyone looking to bridge the time until XnViewMP has animated avif support: The rather similar Nomacs does it (I'm using the Qt6 flavor) https://github.com/nomacs/nomacs
You can add additional image formats from some github repos, you just have to match the Qt version... using media autobuild suite, you can easily build yourself from source, too.
