Pop!_Os, based on Ubuntu 22.04LTS, is there any diagnostic I could run just to check out?

i've installed Pop 22.04, and no problem to load exr

I got it working somewhat, I uninstalled the .deb and went for the tar file and this one seems to work fine, the only problem now is that I don't see preview for exr images, everything else works.

please try to select files and View>Update catalog

it seems like the exr images take a really long time to load in the preview, the thumbnail generation though is quick much better than say .hdr even on high res images also the full-size preview is quick, it's only happening with the preview panel, btw I use the command Update Catalog but nothing seemed to change.

i've tried on ubuntu 23 and no problem. If you start it from terminal, do you see something when selecting the .exr?

Sorry to report that I'm still having this issue.
I can't open *.exr files with international characters.
And also I can't open *.jxr directly through Windows Explorer.exe, but can open them through XnView MP's internal Browser.

OS: Windows 11 23H2
XnView MP Version: 1.8.0 64-bit (Windows) - Libformat 7.192

About the overexposure, with Windows Photo I can clearly see the sun and a shining spot in the cloud, with XnView MP the sun is just all blurred and the spot is invisible.
