XnView-MP started out as just an image viewer; but now handles so just more.
And you have added thumbnails for photos (obviously), AUDIO, VIDEO, FOLDERS and TEXT.

I am suggesting allowing the user to individually define thumbnail LABELs for each of them.
which would mean handling metadata for AUDIO & VIDEO files.
[this is all in regard to Settings > Browser > Thumbnail Labels]
