One thing that would be really great would be an image viewer that can open/import an image from a URL instead of just from a local file or the clipboard. Web browsers can view images from a url, but can't edit them. Imaging progs can edit images, but not grab them from urls. There are often situations where you want to enlarge an image from the web to see it better (but don't like the crappy quality that a browser's built in zoom has), or want to brighten up an image to make it easier to see, or make some other temporary modification. Currently the only option are either save the pic (even though you don't want to keep it, just alter it), or go through all the steps to copy the image to the clipboard and then launch the viewer and then import the image (and then if you decide that you do want to keep it after all, you have to rename it or settle for "clipboard-1, clipboard-2, etc). Having an image viewer with url open/import capabilities would allow for browser integration, so that you could open such images in the viewer with something as simple as right click->open image in xnview.
Would it be possible to add this feature to xnview?

I agree, this would be useful. In XnView DeLuxe this is supported, already.Drahken wrote:One thing that would be really great would be an image viewer that can open/import an image from a URL instead of just from a local file or the clipboard. ...
