I am looking for a way to compress jpg.
So not to reduce the resolution or image size, but the file size.
Does this work with XnView classic or XnResize?
And how?
Thanks for help

As a Linux user I don't have XnView Classic, but expect to find a settings button on the save menu where the file compression value used when files are saved, and other possibly useful settings, can be set. To test saving at different compression settings, be sure to identify and uncheck the option to save at the existing compression level when that can be determined.feuerland wrote: Thu Dec 07, 2023 9:09 am where can i compress an image in xnview classic?
Not reduce the size, but reduce the filesize.
File → Export → JPEGfeuerland wrote: Thu Dec 07, 2023 9:09 amwhere can i compress an image in xnview classic?
Not reduce the size, but reduce the filesize.
JpegXL (JXL) is much better to reduce file size without lost too much quality.
