Is there a way to launch "Batch Convert" from a shortcut or command-line option?
Currently, we need to first launch XnVewMP, and then go to Tools -> Batch convert (or press CTRL + U).
I use the "Batch Convert" tool frequently, and it feels tedious to use extra steps to launch it.
How can I launch it directly from the command-line or shortcut?
How do I launch the "Batch Convert" tool?

Re: How do I launch the "Batch Convert" tool?
Is XnConvert using the same libraries and features as "Batch Convert" in XnViewMP?
Same features? Same bugfixes? Same image libraries, such as the same version of WEBP?
I don't follow XnConvert too closely, but I assume that XnViewMP is updated more often, and has more development.

@xnview
Pierre, it seems there are some differences under the "Output" format settings.
With XnViewMP's Batch Convert, I am given more options about preserving EXIF. It seems to be missing or relocated in XnConvert.

XnConvert
If I go to "Settings" --> "Load format settings" --> "Write", I can see the EXIF options there. However, I don't believe these are used by the converter, since if I change any WEBP settings in here, they do not apply to my "Output" WEBP settings.

these settings are not used by 'batch convert', only the 'Preserve metadata'
Pierre.

Then why are they displayed as "Output" options in XnViewMP's Batch Convert tool?xnview wrote: Sat Jan 20, 2024 8:43 am these settings are not used by 'batch convert', only the 'Preserve metadata'
If I click "Settings" under "Output" -> "Format", it let's me check those settings if I choose WEBP or JPEG.
Is this a mistake in the application's layout?
And then why are there such settings available in XnConvert under "Settings" -> "Load format settings" -> "Write" ?
What is the point of these? Is it "leftover" code?

yes, these settings are not used, only 'preserve metadata'
