i use the German XnViewMP Version 1.7.1 64-bit on Windows 10 Pro.
When i want to save a picture with Save as ... (Speichern unter ...) it takes a long time (2 or 3 minutes).
The same happend with V. 1.6.3.
Forget about JPEG / JFIF and use Jpegli, but you must first enable this codec in the settings to make it visible in "save as".
Jpegli give You better quality in smaller file

Where, please?
I've updated to 1.7.1 and don't see it in Tools > Settings... > Formats where I would expect it to be, or in Tools > Settings..> Write -- JPEG tab?
Is the plug-in not included in the download, or possibly not available for Linux?

It is in Tools > Settings... > Formats between JPEG-2000 and JPEG / JFIF in Windows version. I don't know how it's on Linux version, but standalone JPEGLI is accessed on Linux.

Thanks, I don't still see it, possibly the plug-in has to be installed, or was missed in the Linux DEB version??
