Allow "Save As" to save to current folder

When I perform a "Save As" operation, I typically want to save a copy of the image to the same folder as the current image, but with a different name.

XnView MP seems to always default to the desktop folder for the "Save As" operation.

Is there a way to allow "Save As" to default to the current folder (the folder that contains the current image)?

If not, could such an option be added?

Looked thru the changelog (viewtopic.php?f=82&t=47125)
Maybe it is listed there and I am overlooking it...
I was seeking for the same and checked out XnViewMP Settings and found something under "File Operations"

I think these settings should be ticked by default, as this is pretty much the default behaviour:
- For 'Save as', use original pathname
- For 'Save as', use original format

Not for me. I set off "'Save as', use original format".
