Crash when viewing Fax in TIFF format

Post by BraVo567 »

The program takes off at viewing some faxes in format TIFF.
Program ACDSee looks through these faxes normally.

Could please mail a sample TIF image to Pierre or upload it onto a webserver and post a link to the image here?

I tried to open that image with display (from ImageMagik) at Linux, and it showed me this error on terminal:

display: f0008165.tif: Premature EOL at scanline 2265 (got 0, expected 1728). (Fax3Decode1D).

I also tried to open it with xv, also on Linux. It showed me a lot of errors... And did not showed the image.

XnView simply showed: ****** Error detected ******

Yes, I can confirm that is a real bug too. XnView 1.70 RC1 crashes when trying to open it with a "<process has already exited>" type error message.

In RC2, at viewing this file, the program does not fall any more, however and does not display it a file though both ACDSee, and IrfanView show this file without problems.
