Bonjour à tous,
I'll start my suggestion with a question:
Is there a reason as to why Tools>Settings...>Thumbnail>Labels does not work in the same way as Tools>Setting...>Browser>Tooltip and Tools>Settings...>View>Info?
If there isn't, my suggestion is to make Thumbnail>Labels work the same way Browser>Tooltip and View>Info do. Indeed, these latter are much more flexible, offering notably the ability to add text anywhere and use HTML markup.
If there is a reason why Thumbnail>Labels works differently from the others, my substitute suggestion would be to increase the number of custom labels to at least 10, or better still, have no limit on their number...
... Which leads to a second question: Am I correct that the custom labels are currently limited to 5?
Assuming I am right with that (but hoping I'm wrong!), the limit of 5 custom labels because problematic because only a certain amount of information can be put in a single custom label before that information becomes wider than the thumbnail cell, and thus the information is clipped. Having more or unlimited custom labels would help alleviate that problem by enabling the distribution of the information on as many lines as needed to keep it all visible.
But, even if it turns out that one can use more than 5 custom labels at Thumbnail>Labels, it would still be preferable to harmonize its function with that of Browser>Tooltip and View>Info.
Thanks for your consideration and happy shooting to all.
Harmonize thumbnail label function with other information provision functions OR increase custom label number
