proper Base path of files location
I think that the Base path of files is wrong in my XnView MP Linux setup. The Base path is set to a spare drive which is only used for temporary project files. I have used XnView MP to view the files on that drive but it holds no permanent directory of files. This is likely a problem that I created myself, but I don't know how to fix it. I checked and there are XNView db and ini files on that drive. I think those files should be in the Home directory and the Base path should point there as well. Any advise on how to fix this would be appreciated.

'base path' is only needed when you have multiple computers and you want to share the photo's folder.

Thanks for the quick reply.
I read a little about it in other posts but I don't grasp the ramifications of making changes. So, if I delete the Base path of files entry everything will continue to work? I am worried about losing the database.

I do use the database. Can I move it to a another location? The drive in question is old and only used for temporary project files, all are copies of the originals, so the originals are safe. I am concerned that the drive might fail and the database will go with it.
I am using XnView on Linux.
