use ESC to exit fullscreen
existing settings already allow to mimic the IrfanView/FastStone behavior

Well, I want to use ESC, I DON'T WANT TO. Because you don't need to do this everywhere, IN ANY program of the same type, and I've been using them right now.... since 1997, how many years? 27 years old... There is a close window button everywhere, WHY isn't it here, it's a NECESSITY, but instead they tell me to do this, or that, go and set up the button through the back gate. And a lot more, or maybe just make this button? There is ONE button there... Auto Hide. Which is NOT needed, but there is no close button that is needed))))))))

Velius wrote: Thu Jun 06, 2024 10:53 am Nowhere is there the MOST important switching mode available in ALL such programs. "Browser - Fullscreen" mode. It is very necessary to switch from "Fullscreen" to full screen mode IMMEDIATELY to "Browser" mode
So you would like to switch between Fullscreen and Browser, even if you are in fullscreen from viewer tab, right?
@Velius: Your arguments for adding a new switching option are that you would find it useful, it is an option available in several other softwares, and that user0's suggested workaround is not self-evident and requires configuration?

The best way to progress your request is probably to keep to the essentials, not repeat other discussion in the above posts, and allow space for Pierre to respond! :D

I was just arguing my view of the program, well, it so happened that I was looking for a replacement for my own.
He described the obvious things. I have a well-developed mind, capable of identifying the main thing.
No more.
Whether they respond to my words or not depends on the author of the program.
In other words, I didn't do it for myself, but I just see the problem, described it, but how to react to it, and whether something will change, is not important for me PERSONALLY. I think it's important for those who use the program, maybe it's important for the author.
I hope that the obvious things will be fixed.
In general, there should be THREE buttons. And in full-screen mode. As in a standard Windows.

And in yours, you can get a similar result only if you KNOW from someone how to do it and the result is exactly not what you need. Because the fullscreen view that is obtained after such settings is NOT the SAME, it cannot be configured by adding at least one button, CLOSE.

You have already written me this answer, yes, all this is possible, but it is inconvenient. It is convenient that I showed it in the first post.
And after that, the menu setting disappears where you can add, in a VERY complicated way, the "Close" button. You can check for yourself.
In general, in full-screen mode there should be at least two buttons, minimize the window and close the window on the right, well, there should just be everything, in all modes. I wrote about this in previous posts, everything is there.
I have nothing more to add.
