Where is the backup file saved?

windows 10
xnview mp 1.7.2

settings - general - file operations
Lossless operations - Make backup for lossless crop, Make backup for other lossless operations

Where is the backup file created here saved?
Will it be deleted automatically?
English is not my first language and I am not good at it.
