XnViewMP 1.72 - settings - checkbox for 'creating thumbnails for whole folder' did not work

In Settings Menu you can disable the function for creating thumbnails for the whole folder.
If you disable the checkbox, it also creates thumbnails for the whole folder.
I expected to see thunbnails of all pictures within the browser window.

I cannot reproduce, it works as expected (in all combinations with Catalog on/off).

I have around 100 pictures in my directory.
In the browser windows I see up to 25 pictures.

If I open a folder for the first time, the xnviewmp will created thumbnails for the current pictures in the browser window.
The progress bar at the bottom starts and does not stop after all thumbnails are created!
It takes several seconds or minutes and stops with a full progress bar.
