I know this is not necessarily in your power or purview or anything, but I've painstakingly made my file explorer look like this with registry edits

But then I open XnViewMp and the folder view is like this.

I can work with it and this program is one of those I cannot live without, so lots of thank yous and love for your work. I put this in just in case you might be able to do something about it
