'Lossy'
What do you means by not very fast? When creating thumbnail for catalog?

well its no hardware issue
some test for lossy:
win11
i5 13600kf with P/E cores enabled and with HT, 970 samsung ssd 2tb
1 folder, 22gb 29900 files, jpeg in it
all modes -
ram usage about 12gb
cpu usage about 12% and its bad
disk speed usage about 50-60MB/S and about 20-25MB/S for webp. almost no disk queue - so its not disk speed issue
webp is useless and 2 times slower comparing both jpeg lossy.
jpeg low/hi have same time spent
