Metadata - edit xmp - writing to unsupported format

XnViewMP 1.8.3
Windows11 (24H2), display resolution 3840x2160, dpi scale 150%

Metadata - Edit XMP...
'write access error' popup appears, when trying to write to a source file that cannot accept metadata
(due to format/app limitations, eg .gif, .avif)

Suggestion
  • improve UX of 'Edit XMP...' dialog
    • disable Write button (the same approach as in 'Edit IPTC...') when source file cannot accept metadata

      OR
    • change message to more relevant, eg "Source file format does not support metadata."
