I've been using XnViewMP since version 1.5.0
I kept upgrading simply by downloading the latest x64 installer and stacking the new version on top of the old one.
Over the years, there have been a lot of changes to the program, so a veritable zombie file horde has accumulated.
The XnViewMP folder measured 674 files and 442MB
Most of these files were leftovers that are not needed anymore.
For a clean break, I backuped XnView.ini, uninstalled XnViewMP, deleted the entire old folder and installed a fresh copy of XnViewMP 1.8.4
Result: 561 files and ~150MB
In other words: 2/3 of the old XnViewMP installation was made up of Zombies.
There were entire folders filled with outdated Qt files and lots of deprecated .dlls
-> Could you add a cleanup routine to the installer that deletes old leftover files?
1.8.4 Zombie leftover files -> Cleanup routine
