1. by default xpview mp 1.8.4 shows .img files (i.e like an .iso dvd image file) in a folder even when i have selected filter by - "images + folders". Your program says .img is used for a format called Vivid Ray Tracer but the .img file on my computer are an .iso type file not a graphical image. You should make it so that only actual graphical images are shown when someone selects "images + folders". i have attached a screenshot showing the recovery.img file. If you want a test file to try this out you can download this: https://dl.twrp.me/noblelte/recovery.img
2. when i go in settings - formats and uncheck the .img file and click ok it doesn't hide the .img files in the folder that the program is in, i have to switch folders or close the program. Yet if i have .img disabled and re-enable it then it shows the .img files in the existing folder immediately, which is inconsistent behaviour.
4. if i select filter by - "images + folders" then double click on an image to view it larger then use the scroll wheel or arrow keys on the keyboard it will display videos that are next in alphabetical order even though i have filtered using "images + folders".
5. If i change the theme to black or dark and then change it back to default the filelist stays black or dark until you restart the program. I have attached a screenshot of this.

yes known issue, you need to restart XnView5. If i change the theme to black or dark and then change it back to default the filelist stays black or dark until you restart the program. I have attached a screenshot of this.

Re: 1.8.4 bugs
It should be possible for your program to understand what is an image and what is not and therefore only show images that have a .img extension not cdrom image file types using that extension.
regarding the settings-view-filter that does indeed work but that is not intuitive. Doing what i did to filter images should only show images by default as the average user isn't going to go in to the settings and try and figure it out.

use Custom filter, add img to Excluded (in Settings > File list > Custom filter)spaceship9876 wrote: Wed Feb 05, 2025 10:15 am It should be possible for your program to understand what is an image and what is not and therefore only show images that have a .img extension not cdrom image file types using that extension.
Browser and Viewer tabs use separate file list filters (Viewer may hookup to Browser's Custom one)spaceship9876 wrote: Wed Feb 05, 2025 10:15 am regarding the settings-view-filter that does indeed work but that is not intuitive.
