Non-available drive accessed twice

Post by helmut »

I thought this has been reported before, but I couldn't find any entry.

In Browser when accessing a drive for which the user has no access rights or without media (e.g., Floppy or CD drive), XnView (or Windows?) shows a warning (correct).
When clicking on a different drive in the folder tree, another message box appears telling that the drive cannot be accessed, again. The repetition of the message box (:bug:) is superfluous and should be avoided.

Do you have it with 1.82 beta?

Happens with 1.80 and with 1.82 on Windows 2000 and on Windows XP.

Reproducing should be simple:
1. In folder tree of XnView Browser click on Drive A: (without a disk inserted)
2. Confirm the message box
3. In folder tree click on drive C:
-> Message box appears again :bug:
