XnView: MP 0.96 64 bit
OS: Windows 10 Build 18362.720 64 BIT
Photos on a USB connected Android phone are not displayed when browsing through any of the available folders on the phone. It does no matter if its the internal storage or the sd card storage. I can browse through the folder structure just fine. But selecting a folder containing photos/images of any type (.png, .jpg, .gif, ...) does not update the preview pane. The preview pane is stuck to the last successfully displayed folder.
Effect:
What's the effect for the user?
Well, the user cannot use XnViewMP to browse the pictures directly on a smart phone. It looks like the user has to copy the photos first to the local drive - which cannot be real solution.
To reproduce:
- Take an Android Phone (tested with LG G5 (Android 7.0), LG G5 (Android 8.0), LG G Stylus (Android 9.0), Samsung Galaxy S8 Android 7.0) and a matching USB cable and connect the phone to your Windows PC/Laptop.
Allow the PC/Laptop to access the phones storage (see display message on the phone)
Start XnViewMP
Browse to any folder containing images/photos on your phone. It does not matter if you browse your internal phone storage or the sd card storage
on changing any folder the preview pane is not updated and does not show the content of the selected folder
The thumbnail/preview pane does not show the photos on a selected phone folder.
Expected behaviour:
Browsing the phone's folder structure should behave as you browse a folder on the Windows PC/Laptop. It should update the thumbnail pane and display the photos/images on a selected folder.
cheerioh & thank you
