When I change descending / ascending for example for modified date. The files changes order but the folders don't.
Is this "by design" in the latest version or is it my install acting up?
Sorting on Name works.
Just me? Or are folders no longer sorted as before? [Solved]

uncheck Folders always sorted alphabetically in Settings > File list

I smiled when I found this setting. I've been using XnView MP for years, and folders have always been possible to sort (as I like it) by date. All of a sudden, it didn't do that anymore, so I presumed it was due to some recent change. Looking back through change logs and the forum here, it's been there a while... strange though that it changed on my install. If I'd changed it, I would probably remember there was a setting for it.
SOLVED: There is a setting controlling folder specifically for sort order.
