Yellow banner/flag

Post by Ilikemyprivacy »

I downloaded a folder of pictures that already came with a 4 star rating and some kind of yellow banner/flag on them.

What does the flag mean? And how did they come with a rating?

OK, I get it that data was added to the pictures, I can change the ratings easily enough, how do I remove the flag? I try clicking on it but nothing happens.

this means that image has categories (keywords)
removing depends on the metadata location:
  • embedded
    - Clean... in Browser>Metadata
    - Edit IPTC/XMP...
  • external xmp
    - Edit IPTC/XMP... *
    - delete .xmp sidecar file
  • app db
    - uncheck in Categories pane in Browser, it also can edit embedded categories, rating, labels*
    - Delete/Delete all in Settings>Catalog
* required to change default Metadata settings
