1.8.3. (macOS 15.2) - Zoom settings are not applied

Post by robur »

When opening an image with the zoom setting option "Fit window to image", this is not executed.

After closing and restarting XnView MP, images either have a giant grey border around them in a window that is much too big, or they show up in a much too small window.

This zoom option works fine in Classic on the Windows side of things.

So you start XnView with a previous opened image?
Or open XnView with an image file?

Hi Piere,

I double click on an image file which can be anywhere on the computer.

The functionality that's on the PC version (Classic, 2.51.7) is this:

- Image is too large for the screen: it will shrink so that it fits the screen.
- Image is smaller than or fits the screen: it will be shown in its native resolution or even slightly larger.

The setting for this is "View - Auto Image Size - Fit image to desktop, large only".

So it's confusing that the exact same setting does not work on the macOS version - I can chose whatever in the view settings and get the results described above when opening a new image by double-clicking on it.

Thanks for any insights!
