Resize Me! : File name changed on saving
Hello,
Something changed since the récent updates. When saving a single file with version 2.4.0 the file created is named like "IMG_20250326_105616.jpg", loosing the name of the original Picture.
It doesn't happens in batch mode. (see attached sample)
Same with the last 2.4.1 Just updated today.

Re: Resize Me! : File name changed on saving
i have perhaps a workaround for android 10, but not for android 13+, filename is not available with new file picker (a bug from Google?)
Pierre.
Re: Resize Me! : File name changed on saving
Strange is it batch mode the original names are preserved. Same with XnConvert, whether multiple files are selected or a single one, the original file name(s) is(are) preserved.
I've heard of a change initiated by google last year, regarding dev constraints for Android pré and post v13. Curiously it doesn't seem to impact all developpments. For some it was completely transparent, some started seeking workarounds and finally went back. Google applications themselves doesn't look impacted at all. Is it a matter of dev. framework ?

Hello Pierre,
My previous reply was based on va 2.4.1 (updated last week). The Play Store do not show anything more récent.
More precisely, on the way to reproduce I mentioned batch or single file and now I realise it's not clear.
- One method is to launch the app and then either tap on Cut & Resize (Couper & Redimentionner) or Batch Resize (Redimentionner par lot). This method always lead to the new files hare renamed like IMG_{today's date}. It worked fine in the past.
-Another method is to invoke ResizeMe from the photo album, via Share with... In this case, whatever you invoke with a single or with multiple file the result is the file names are préserved, always.

Re: Resize Me! : File name changed on saving
Got it this morning.
I tried many cases, combinaison, based on my previous posts and it looks better.
One still, tried many times with same results, original file name lost: Start the App, batch processing, select 2 pictures at least and reduce whatever size you like.
I made the screenshot below. It shows the result folder with the différence, if you select a single picture (cut/rotate/flip/resize workflow - Ok) or if you select more than one (resize only workflow - Nok) that leads to wrong renaming. See, during the processing the name of the original file is replaced by a number.
