After upgrading XnView MP from v1.8.6 to v1.8.8, XnView now spontaneously exits by simply browsing folders with pictures.
These are the very same folders I used to browse with XnView before and didn't give any problems.
XnView's behavior has become so unpredictable and buggy that it is no longer usuable.
I checked EventViewer > Windows logs > Application, and found Error 1000.

UPDATE #1: I just noticed that XnView spontaneously exits if it browses a folder that contains PDF files.
The icons for the PDF files are shown for about 3 seconds after which the program exits without error message.

do you have sent a dump with crash report dialog?
