Image viewer like XnView MP?

I'm looking for an alternative to Xnview MP because it cannot recognize my WD my passport for some annoying reason. I want to browse quickly through images without the need to import, as I do not have enough space on my mac.

Which operating system are you using, and are other external drives recognised?
